New Expedition Skills Lessons - Cooking Crustaceans

foraging new lessons sea food Mar 25, 2024

We are excited to announce 7 new lessons on coastal foraging and the cooking of wild foods.

Building on the previous 5 instalments of our expedition skills module, we share a range of ideas, tips and methods to help you forage, catch, dispatch and cook your wild food. We start by looking at the ways in which we can target crustaceans, then onto foraging for seaweeds and eventually get to cooking on an open fire. We cover in great detail the dispatching and preparation of crab, lobster and wild caught fish.

In this blog, Dan shows you how to cook crustaceans on an open fire.

We hope these new lessons give paddlers the confidence to try wild foraging for themselves. Cooking food collected by you straight from the sea.
