BC Certified Coastal Navigation and Tidal Planning course

We are thrilled to be able to offer a fully Certified British Canoeing Certified Coastal Navigation and Tidal Planning Course.  We started discussions with British Canoeing in April and our online course was then shared with the BC technical committee for approval.  There was great feedback and our system was approved.  Previously the CNTP course was 8 hours long and half of this time was expected to be practical exercises.  What we have created is 4 hours of video content covering all of the syllabus.  Alongside this we have created lots of practical exercises for you to do using RYA training charts and a training almanac.  At the end of each section there is an assessment.  Both James and Simon are CNTP providers and are on hand to answer any questions you may have. When you register you get a full 6 months to complete the course and can watch the videos as many times as you like.  At the end of the course you will need to upload a trip plan and we will confirm you have watched the video lessons.  Upon completion you will receive an official BC CNTP certificate.  We think this will be a fantastic way for many paddlers to access the BC award without the need to travel and to progress at your own pace in the comfort of your home.  With the unlimited support from OSK on hand should you have questions.
